LUMA Balloon SinuplastyBalloon Sinuplasty has been a revolutionary way of managing sinusitis. It uses a guide wire and balloon to dilate the obstructed sinuses. The position of the balloon is confirmed by X Rays during surgery. This technology has further evolved where X Ray is not required. Instead a guide wire attached to a light source is used to confirmed the location of the sinuses. This has make balloon sinuplasty safer eliminating X Ray exposure. The newer technology is called Relieva LUMA system. We have now successfully employed this system in our sinus operations.
